Our flagship location opened its doors on First Avenue in 1984 and was bestowed with a glowing review from The New York Times. Old world charm enhances the dining experience through authentic Mexican colors and rustic folk art. Traditional amate gods greet guests at the front entrance and brightly colored papel picado hangs from the ceiling. Corn tortillas are made on site and an exposition grill adds excitement to the dining experience. With its warm ambiance and outstanding cuisine, the original Rosa Mexicano location has remained a perennial New York favorite for over 30 years.
