Rosa Mexicano Brings You A Night of Spirits

Join the Living And Party With The Dead During Our Día De Los Muertos Celebration

Tuesday, October 30th from 6-11pm

Rosa Mexicano, Union Square, 9 East 18th Street

Our fiesta will feature a very special menu of traditional dishes and libations for the holiday, as well as a one of a kind Fiesta de Dulces dessert reception in our Sky Room complete with agave spirit pairings.

The evening will also include live performances by Mexican performers Agave L’Amour and DJ Jojosoul and it will be THE way to kick-off a special week of spirited celebrations!

In memory of our founder, Josefina Howard, who passed in 2005 we will raise a glass by unveiling a very special portrait in her honor that will be displayed at all Rosa Mexicano locations for El Día De Los Muertos. As our guests, you are encouraged to bring your portraits of your loved ones who have passed to display on our ofrenda during the event so that they can join you in the festivities!

The special menu for the evening includes some of our founder’s favorite dishes:

Josefina’s very-own tableside Guacamole served with a special assortment of accompaniments selected for the celebration as well as an assortment of flautas, tlayuda (Mexican pizza), and yuca frita from our botanas menu.

Select from one of four entrees from our special Día de Los Muertos Menu

Costillas a la Barbacoa - Tequila-pomegranate BBQ ribs served with charro beans and jalapeñocorn bread

Trucha a la Parilla - Whole grilled trout over pumpkin seed pipián topped with citrus salad

Pollo a la Coca-Cola - Mexican Coca-Cola-braised half chicken served with fried plantains and sautéed kale

Fideos de Zucchini con Coliflor y Hongos - Zucchini noodle sautéed with roasted cauliflower and grilled portobello mushroom

Throughout your meal you’ll be served our very special sangria-based cocktail that is garnished with marigold petals.

Once the seated portion of the meal is over, you and your amigos will be invited into our exclusive Festival de Dulces, which features six interactive Mexican dessert stations - with each dessert being paired with a different tequila or mezcal. While enjoying the desserts and drinks, you’ll be entertained with live traditional performances and music by Agave L’Amour and DJ Jojosoul!
